Drone defence (+ offence)

There's been several approaches to stopping drones mid-flight, ranging from traditional firearms, launching nets from land and from air (2), trained eaglesGPS jamming and of course software/system attacks against open-wifi.

Oh and who could forget South Park's forecast solution - state/federal drones, dotMil drones - which, will probably end up about right :(

But in terms of disrupting GPS and pre-programmed autonomous flight-paths, this recent one is probably the most effective (going by the articles/vendor). 

Really, it's just a commercialised version of what Iran allegedly pulled off in 2011


Of course, the human operator gets to keep warm due to the antenna front-to-back ratio, but that's fine right. 

The future is probably the good old targeted EMP, but do we really want people walking around with those? In the wrong hands, that could cause way more harm than a traditional firearm or similar.




And until then, it will just be the-man and the kids who get to have all the fun:
